Our Unique Service Approach
Learn how we service our clients
The bail bond process begins upon arrest.
After the arrest, you will be taken to the local county jail to be processed. This includes pairing your alleged offense with the local county bail schedule and setting the amount of the bail. You could be released on your own recognizance if you are trusted to appear for their criminal proceedings, but a cash bail is set most of the time.
3. One Phone Call
After processing is complete and bail is set, you get to make one phone call. If you call a family member or an attorney, he or she may then contact a bail bondsman on your behalf. The other option is to contact a bail bondsman directly.
4. Speak with a Bail Bonds Agent
Regardless of how a bail bondsman is contacted, the next step in the process is to speak with the agent and come to an agreement. Whether you negotiate with the agent or a friend or family member does so for you, someone must sign an agreement with the bondsman in order for him or her to post your bail. This will secure your release from jail, and the full amount of the bail will be refunded when you appear for all of your court proceedings. All you will be required to pay is a premium to the Sarasota bail bondsman.
